Books that Shaped America

The Library of Congress just opened an exhibit titled, "Books that Shaped America."  Review the list of books here. It is a fabulous list of essential reads for all of us in the U.S. The books are listed in chronological order by publication date, starting in 1751 and ending in 2002.  To me, it is an eponymous list of what it means to be a U.S. citizen.
