Legally Blind Runner Carries the Olympic Torch

Ultramarathon runner, Simon Wheatcroft, 30 years old and legally blind since 17, carried the Olympic torch on June 26th in Armthorpe, England. This was Day 39 of the 70-day journey of the torch through the United Kingdom.
Simon chronicled his training in Wired magazine. Here is the final piece he wrote for Wired as he completed his run and passed the torch onto the next runner. Simon is one of 8,000 inspirational torchbearers carrying the torch on its journey to light the Olympic flame at the July 27th opening ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympic games in London, England.
