The Jersey Lightning is heading to the Beep Baseball World Series!

Do you have Beep Baseball fever? We sure do! Join us as we root, root, root for the home team, The Jersey Lightning beep baseball team. The Lightning is making us proud as the team heads to the 2013 Beep Baseball World Series in Columbus, George. The games begin on July 30th and end on August 4th. 

TBBC's Beep Baseball Star!

Elvis DeJesus, who provides Newsline support at TBBC, is also a star of Beep Baseball.  He makes us all proud as a member of the New Jersey Lightning Beep Baseball team, a member of the National Beep Baseball Association (NBBA). Beep Baseball allows those with vision impairments to play a game they all know and love.

How can you hit what you can't see? It's called beep baseball and for about a dozen New Jersey residents, the adaptive sport is a way for them to hit a home run. The ball beeps and the bases buzz. Combined with several sighted volunteers, it takes just a few rule modifications to make the game work.
