The Red Cross is offering classes for volunteer Braille transcribers. These are the volunteers who help create Braille textbooks for students in New Jersey and other states.
"Typhlo & Tactus is an organization that exists to improve the quality and quantity of tactile books (books with tactile illustrations) that are available to young children with visual impairments in member countries. As a part of T&T's efforts, the organization has conducted a biennial tactile book competition, beginning in 2000.
