Victor Reader Stream Program

Thanks to a grant from the Assistive Technology Advocacy Center of Disability Rights of New Jersey, the New Jersey State Library Talking Book & Braille Center has purchased Victor Reader Stream players for a pilot program to lend the players to TBBC patrons ages 21 and under.

Blind Touch Tour

On Friday, May 14, young customers of the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center and their parents got an up-close circus experience on a visit to the Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus at the Sun Center, Trenton. During the Blind Touch Tour, the children met the performers, petted the animals, juggled with the clowns, and played with some larger-than-life props.

Digital Talking Book Player

Do you have our new Digital Talking Book Player? If not, call the library at 800-792-8322! We have Digital Talking Books on cartridge that we can send you. Or, if you have access to the Internet and a blank thumbdrive, you can download books to a thumbdrive and listen to them on your new Digital Talking Book Player.

Blind Race Car Drivers

Blind Race Car Drivers at the New Jersey State Library Talking Book and Braille Center Fall Festival. At NJSL TBBC's 2009 Fall Festival on October 3, there was an opportunity for blind and handicapped people to get behind the wheel of a racing car and feel the thrill of driving.

TBBC on the air!

One of the things that we here at the library do is leave the library! We go out for many different reasons; to visit libraries; to make presentations on the library so that people know what we have; to promote the library at different events.
